This is an inspiring album cut from Diana Ross' cd 'Everyday Is A New Day'. Although it was written and recorded before 9/11, the lyrics, to me, described the feelings I saw in people in the aftermath of this tragic day. I kept seeing signs of hope and strength. I felt proud of the way we all supported each other. Then when I saw Diana Ross on TV describing her reaction to the tragedy, and just a week later, watching her sing 'God Bless America' at the U.S. Tennis Open - it was simply amazing that Motown didn't jump on the chance to release 'Hope Is An Open Window' as a way to help heal our spirits and give us inspiration. Maybe someday, someone will go into the vaults and release it. It has happened before (Tears of a Clown, I've Never Been To Me, etc.) until then...enjoy.
