Played on the little James Kenna pipes (thanks Ken!) from c.1760 at the 2013 Kilkenny concert during the summer school of the Historical Harp Society of Ireland.

This air was noted by Edward Bunting in 1796 from the playing of Magilligan Harper Denis Hempson (1695-1807) who had in turn learned it from the Kerry harper Cornelius Lyons (c.1680-c.1750). It is also well known as An Chuilfhionn," meaning in English 'The Fair-Haired One'.

The video was taken by Christian Schneider

RANT: If you like and enjoy videos posted by artists, please give a little back in return by buying their digital wares in whatever form they exist. If one person buys one of my tracks on iTunes I get a few cents but if tons of people do it, then I can pay a few bills with the proceeds -- which is kinda cool :) END of RANT
