Concert Pianist and Composer Volker Rogall was born 1957 in Koblenz, Germany. He studied at the Cologne Conservatory in the master class with Pavel Gililov (former winner of the Chopin Competition, Warsaw). Since 1975 he has produced recordings and performed concert tours throughout Europe as both a classical and jazz pianist. In 1985 he began working as a composer for film and television soundtracks, and in 2006 he founded his recording studio, Ivory Studio Cologne.

Ivory II American Concert D features a Vintage 1951 NY Steinway D (CD 121) that has been the choice of great concert artists through the years.
