Bio:Sworn to THRASH! RIOTOR was twisted into form by possessed veterans and younger maniacs from the Quebec City metal scene and has been crushing posers since early 2007. The hellish flame to form an uncompromising old school thrash metal band was ignited by Kevinator (Six Chords Under) and Gabrihell (Razor Sharp Metalized Axe) at a RAZOR gig (Montreal Metal Massacre) in December 2005. Thus, thrashing united them from their dawn! At that time, Kevinator and Stefanatik (Multiple Stabbing and Screams from the Abyss) were still playing in TRAUMATISM, a death/grind project that released two formidable albums in the genre. The flame burnt through to Christ-mass 2006, when Ismarevil (Warcry, Blasphemous Art) joined the band on their unrelenting quest for carnage and devastation. A few weeks later, none other than DESTRUCTION came to Quebec City. The new band was then introduced to Gabrihell's long-time friend and brother of steel, Mikalcoholic (Thunder and Lightning Strike) and, after drinking innumerable amounts of Grolsch together, they brought forth RIOTOR, the great BEAST OF RIOT! The spring of 2007 was spent partying, playing covers of DEATH, KREATOR and SACRIFICE, as well as composing 6(66) unholy songs of infernal brutality. The following summer was dedicated to recording these songs by renting and borrowing any tools that were needed -- Fighting the METAL fight. RIOTOR's first demo "DEATH AND DESTRUCTION" was released in October 2007 when the band opened for Canadian thrash legends PILEDRIVER on a truly hellish metal night. This first demo got RIOTOR lots of awesome reviews from underground zines all over the world, and the opportunity to riot some more: their POUNDING live experience made them a devastating metal force on stage. The second half of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 were also spent writing 6(66) oth their second demo slaughter "FUCKING METAL". After spreading this second evil offering over the earth, RIOTOR played several gigs across eastern Canada with hordes such as BLASPHEMY, KRISIUN, SOOTHSAYER and WARBRINGER. Then, the band completed the writing of what would become "BEAST OF RIOT", their ten-track, head-splitting first album, which was released in September 2010 on LP by the Scottish BESTIAL INVASION records and on tape by the German DYING VICTIMS Productions (the cd version are auto-produced).September 2010 was really HEAVY for RIOTOR: after sharing the stage with Australian antichrists DESTRÖYER 666 in Montreal, the band embarked on the BEASTIAL INVASION tour of Europe (Belgium, France, Germany and Poland), wrecking havoc on stage with metal tyrants NOCTURNAL, KETZER, VAE VICTIS and THRONEUM among others!!! In April 2011, RIOTOR spreads some more chaos on stage with Canadian thrash titans RAZOR for a beastial metal event worthy of the darkest, lowest pits of hell!!! After this night Galy records contacted Riotor to reprint both demo on one cd limited to 300 copies, available since september 2011.
