Sworn to THRASH! RIOTOR was twisted into form by possessed veterans and younger maniacs from the Québec City metal scene and has been CRUSHING POSERS since early 2007. The hellish flame to form an uncompromising old school thrash metal band was ignited by Kevinator (Six Chords Under) and Gabrihell (Razor Sharp Metalized Axe) at a RAZOR gig (Montreal Metal Massacre) in December 2005. Thus, thrashing united them from their dawn! At that time, Kevinator and Stefanatik (Multiple Stabbing and Screams from the Abyss) were still playing in TRAUMATISM, a death/grind project that released two formidable albums in the genre. The flame burns through to Christ-mass 2006, when Ismarevil (Warcry, Blasphemy Art) joined the quest of this unrelenting band. At the same time TRAUMATISM was forced to disband and so it became clear to them that the gods brought them together to THRASH ETERNALLY. A few weeks later, none other than DESTRUCTION came to Québec City. After innumerable amounts of GROLSCH and the rest of the band meeting Mikalcoholic (Thunder and Lightning Strike) – Gabrihell's long-time friend and brother of steel - RIOTOR was born! The spring of 2007 was spent partying, playing covers of DEATH, KREATOR and SACRIFICE as well as composing 6(66) unholy songs of infernal devastation. The following summer was dedicated to recording these songs by renting and borrowing any tools that were needed - Fight the METAL fight. Their first demo "DEATH AND DESTRUCTION" was released in October 2007 when they opened for Canadian thrash legends PILEDRIVER, a real hellish metal night. This first demo gave RIOTOR only awesome reviews in underground zines all over the world. The exposure gave RIOTOR the chance to play a lot of shows; their POUNDING live experience made RIOTOR a devastating metal force on stage. The second half of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 was also spent writing 6(66) other metallic hymns that were self-recorded again later in the year for their second demo slaughter "FUCKING METAL". After spreading this second evil offering over the earth, RIOTOR completed the writing of what would become BEAST OF RIOT their 10 track first LP out in September 2010 on BESTIAL INVASION Records as well as on tape of DYING VICTIMS Productions !!! The month of September is really HEAVY for the band since after sharing the stage with DESTROYER 666 in Montreal, they embark on the BEASTIAL INVASION tour of Eastern Canada and Europe (Belgium, Germany and Poland), sharing the stage with NOCTURNAL, KETZER, VAE VICTIS, CRUEL FORCE and THRONEUM among others !!! RIOTOR will spread chaos and destruction wherever they are !!!

Dédié au thrash, RIOTOR fut formé à Québec par des vétérans possédés et de jeunes maniaques de metal au début de 2007. L’étincelle qui a poussé Kevinator et Gabrihell pour faire du old school thrash/death metal sans compromis s’est allumée au concert de RAZOR (Montréal Metal Massacre) en décembre 2005. À cette époque, Kevinator formait encore avec Stefanatik le groupe Traumatism, qui a roulé sa bosse durant une bonne dizaine d’années avec un death/grind dévastateur dont plusieurs ne se sont toujours pas remis… La flamme du thrash brûle toujours au début 2007 quand Ismarevil, qui se cherche alors un band, et Mikalcoholic, le frère de métal de Gabrihell, rencontrent Kevinator et Stefanatik au show de DESTRUCTION. Suite à l’ingurgitation de plusieurs dizaines de Grolsch, ils exaucent la volonté de la Bête et se réunissent pour former RIOTOR. Durant le printemps de 2007, ils jouent des reprises de DEATH, KREATOR et SACRIFICE, et composent ensemble 6(66) pièces blasphématoires de dévastation infernale. L’été fut quant à lui, consacré à l’enregistrement de ces pièces en autoproduction. Le démo, intitulé « DEATH AND DESTRUCTION » fut lancé en octobre 2007 lorsqu’ils firent la première partie des légendes du thrash PILEDRIVER. Ils obtiennent ensuite d’excellentes critiques dans plusieurs fanzines à travers le monde. Ce démo leur permit aussi de se produire en show à plusieurs reprises, se forgeant une réputation de formation puissante et dévastatrice. RIOTOR retourna ensuite au travail pour écrire 6(66) nouveaux hymnes métalliques, qu’ils enregistrent et publient en 2008 sous le titre de « FUCKING METAL ». Après avoir contaminé la planète avec cette deuxième offrande et partagé les planches avec des hordes infernales tel que BLASPHEMY, KRISIUN, SOOTHSAYER et autres, la maison de disque américaine GROUND ZERO entertainement lança en 2009 « LIVE FOR STEEL » un Mcd édition limité en forme de scie contenant 3 pièces enregistré en spectacle à Québec en 2008. RIOTOR achevât ensuite l’écriture de leur premier album « BEAST OF RIOT », 10 pièces de Métal pur et dure exécuté à une vitesse et une précision à couper le souffle! L’album voit le jour en septembre 2010, une édition vinyle 33 tours sur l’étiquette écossaise BESTIAL INVASION RECORDS. S’ensuivit la BEASTIAL INVASION TOUR qui mena le groupe à travers quelque pays d’Europe, France, Belgique, Allemagne, Pologne ainsi que l’est du Canada. Lors de cette tournée DESTROYER 666, NOCTURNAL, KETZER, VAE VITIS et THRONEUM parmi d’autres ont partagé la scène avec RIOTOR qui continu de semer le chaos et la Destruction partout ou ils sont !!!
