Smokestack Lightning Live at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix, Arizona - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Smokestack Lightning Ripping it Up at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix, Arizona. SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING.
Smokestack Lightning is a band that gets right to the point, and they use
the unmistakable sound of pain, triumph, loneliness and joy to get that
point across. They take the wisdom of the blues and the mesmerism of rock n roll to split tuneful atoms every time they hit the stage. Since they banded together in late 2009, they’ve
taken cues from their blues and rock forebears to create a truly American sound. The artists of this rising outfit are professionals of music and life. Bassist Mark Leos and drummer Pat Antone hold up the groove like twin Atlas’ supporting Smokestack Lightning’s world of rhythm and tempo. Guitarist Rik Leos and harmonica player Robert Jackson pounce on audiences with their fiery lead work.

In 2011 Smokestack Lightning was nominated for a 2012 Native American Music Award for “Best Blues Recording.”

In 2015 Smokestack Lightning won the Arizona Blues Showdown at the Rhythm Room. The event was hosted by the Phoenix Blues Society and featured several of the Valley’s top blues bands. In 2014, Smokestack Lightning came in second at the showdown.
Based in Arizona on the Gila River Indian Community, Smokestack Lightning has traveled beyond the reaches of their reservation and performed before a wide array of audiences at a variety of venues and events.
