Most everyone can relate to this song.. we love to send and receive email (not junk ones, of course) but from those we love and care for. When our friends and family are miles away we can keep close to them with email. Judy's cousin, Vesta Weber, lives on the west coast (Washington State) and Judy Welden lives in GA. They haven't seen each other since childhood.. but are now keeping close by email. Vesta, who'd never written song lyrics
wrote to Judy about writing a song about keeping in touch by email. The next night Judy awoke with ideas in her head. She wrote the first Verse and Chorus in her head, then sent an email to Vesta to see what she thought. Vesta wrote back with two verses added. Judy, who has worked with song-writers for years (started the Treasure Coast Songwriters Assn. when she lived in FL) says she has never known of anyone who could write that well for their first lyric! She sent the lyrics to Ray Lani to add the music, knowing it would be a cool duet. He did a fabulous job and Judy and Vesta were very pleased.
