The band was born in 2009, it was preceded by a couple of minor rock projects.The musical style of the band went through some changes, but the roots are based in modern metal music. The bands, that most affected the style, where Metallica, In Flames, System of a Down, and for the electronic influences, the ones responsible where Pendulum, Prodigy and Shpongle.
In the initial period, Whisperblast played an important role in the musical underground in Cluj and later on, gets to play at more important events like PeninsulaFélsziget. Besides the succesfull gigs, the band reached the podium at national level of the Local Heroes International Music Competition.
After a long break the year 2012 brought radical changes. The band released it’s first EP with three songs, entitled “New Generation Rock” and in the fall of 2013 represented Romania at the Local Heroes Award Europe, held in Germany. Thanks to the positive feedback of the fans, the band released it’s first music video entitled ”No Regrets”.
