Dama Vicke is a singer-songwriter from Mexico City who pursued her musical vision by moving to Miami in the mid 90s.

She began collaborating with well-known musicians on the local scene, played color gigs and in 2003 joined her first band as a bass player. From there she gained the spotlight on the Miami bar circuit by playing popular venues such as Grand Central, The Stage, Transit Lounge, Churchill's and Tobacco Road among others.

She has shared the stage with various artists from the US and Mexico including Federico Fong (La Barranca, Caifanes, Alfonso Andre) and the two worked together on her former project named Huma Rojo.

In 2011 she released her first EP, Clouded Room of Happiness, with her former experimental art rock band Dear Darling. The album was mixed by Dave Trumfio, an American record producer, mixer, engineer, and musician best known for his production work with artists like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Grandaddy and the The Pulsars.

In 2014 Dama centered her energy on a solo project, recording several songs with diverse musicians from Miami like Audiovision and Earplay Studios with producer and engineer Roger Izaguirre. She continued to play live shows and film live scores with keyboard player and producer Daniella Bertoldi.

Dama Vicke continues to work with long time partner and colleague Javier Guell, a singer-songwriter and former guitarist for Soniko. Dama and Javier have been working together since the beginning of her career as a solo artist.
