"...puts together all that's best about current electronic music. Intricate but punchy, weird but very wonderful, this is really lush stuff." - Mixmag

"Isn't it lovely? Absolutely wonderful, lovely stuff. Twitter has been going crazy with people asking 'What is THIS? I need it!'" - Lauren Laverne, BBC Radio 6music

Following the success of their debut 'Worldwide Takeover' EP and 'Send Me' single on Jus Like Music in 2011, Paper Tiger join forces with Mind on Fire Records for their first full vinyl release.

The third vinyl release on the MOF imprint, after 2011's 'Great Minds' compilation and Danny Drive Thru's 'Psychedelia Smith' single, the Illuminated EP features three superb Paper Tiger productions -- Delight Dub, Illuminated and Modern Dynamics. The release is topped off with remixes by Wisent from Lucky Me, who returned the favour with a Paper Tiger remix on his forthcoming EP, and upcoming UK producer Blacksmif who was recently Soundcloud's artist of the day and has his debut solo EP "And The Sun Rose Out" dropping in March on Synchronicity Records.

With a limited run of only 300 copies, featuring full artwork by onefiveeight artist James Hayes, the record drops on 27th February, before the band take to the road in preparation for a summer of festivals.

Paper Tiger began life as a bedroom experiment: produced future hip-hop, broken beat and 2-step incorporating live instruments and musicians. Their demos and early releases with Jus Like Music ('Worldwide Takeover EP' featuring a guest appearance by Stones Throw's Dudley Perkins, and the 'Send Me' single) have gained support from Radio 1, 1xtra, Charlie Dark and 6Music, plus DJ support from Mistajam, LV, Jamie xx, Slugabed, John Kennedy (XFM), Jazzsteppa, 16 Bit and more. They have also released acclaimed remixes for DELS feat. Joe Goddard (Big Dada), Sneaky (Fingathing/Big Chill Recordings), Stac (Wah Wah 45s), Scrimshire (Wah Wah 45s) and Dark Sky (Black Acre/Ninja Tune).

Over the past 18 months, a 7-piece live band from Leeds has been performing these productions and more to packed-out audiences across Europe. The shows are a fully live, uninterrupted mix of spaced-out hip-hop, garage, dubstep and more: no sequencers or backing tracks, just furious pushing of buttons and flailing of limbs. The band has shared some of the country's most prestigious stages and festival bills (including the Soundwave and Outlook Festivals in Croatia) with the likes of Hexstatic, Dam Funk, Jaga Jazzist, The Heatwave, The Bug and Warrior Queen, Rustie, Tokimonsta, Nightmares On Wax, The Herbaliser, TM Juke & Alice Russell, The Bays, Bonobo, Krafty Kuts, Freq Nasty, Mary- Anne Hobbs, Benji B, Daedelus, Gaslamp Killer, Benga and many more.

The band have been a regular favourite at Mind on Fire events in Manchester since performing at Eurocultured in 2010, and after a number of cross-pennine collaborations including the band being featured on MOF's 'Hear No Evil, See No Evil' compilation CD in 2011, this project feels like a natural progression.

"One of the most exciting young beat-making outfits around, with a deep understanding of musicality and a penchant for a dirty bass line!" Dom Servini, Wah Wah 45s/Colourful Radio

"Perfect blend of souly vibes and hard knockin' thump." - Slugabed (Ninja Tune)

"A rare and unexpected gem. Technically brilliant...a diverse and refreshing
journey through modern music." - CityLifers Magazine

"Ridiculous!" - Mistajam (BBC Radio 1xtra)

"Undoubtedly the night's show-stealers... joyous, genre-annhilating." - Daily Star
