The Waking was signed in the fall of 2006 by Chicago Indie label Wuli Records. The CD titled "Blue Screen" is available for purchase now.



The Waking have been around since 2004. Going through a few line up changes and an array of interesting drunken nights and fights they are finally seeing calmer days ahead. Yeah right! If you know bands then you know the ever looming drama that comes along with it. Well that chapter is no more and with an Indie Label signing, a debut release that was certified plutonium nothing can stop The Waking. Literally nothing. "Thats what keeps us alive," says Mike. "We have a mission and a drive to achieve that nothing could stop." Come out to a show and you will be made a believer. Many have and many more will. The Waking have recieved many great reviews and work hard to create the best music they are capable of. With many dynamics attributing to their writing style there are few boundaries. "All bands say they are the best live band around, we just try to have a good time and assure that everyone who comes out to see us also has a good time. Hopefully the word spreads and more people come out to our shows. No matter what were havin fun. We spend too much money on alcohol not to!"
