DESCRIPTION:
Proximity Butterfly performs "Emperor" from their album reprieve in Chengdu, China. Its a story of a man that is trapped under the rubble of the 2008 earthquake and has a series of dreams that confuse his sense of reality. In this dream, he is recalling a past life in which he is an emperor and faces the decision to be annihilated by his foes or stand by the cultural heritage which makes his people free in their own land. he chooses to stand against a great army and in the process loses a great deal of soldiers, women, and children. They come out of the battle successfully, yet on their journey home succumb to disease and perish. Shiva watches from above laughing at their courage and vain attempt to free themselves from his grasp.
