Oak Pointe

Oak Pointe, originally known as The Oak Pointe Chronicles, was assembled in Pointe-Aux-Chenes(Oak Pointe), Louisiana in the beginning of 2003 by guitarist Ron Orgeron. This Cajun based hard rock/southern metal band from South Louisiana puts their coonass up-bringings into to each song. Each song paints a picture of bayou life from that "Don't Fuck With Me" drunken cajun nature to hard times and easy livin' along these muddy waters. With the entry of Myles Brunet on vocals in 2004 and the additions of Wayne Porche on drums and Elray Dupre on bass in mid-2005, Oak Pointe began playing the first couple of shows in early 2006 and is quickly being accepted by everyone that has had the chance to experience the music. The music is a dedication to the Acadian heritage, an aggressivly deep emotional out-pour, and is sure to be appreciated by people in any and all that live in these parishes, or any who aren't and have a curiosity into what being a RCA is all about.
