On eve of our darkest day all hope evaporates
On the brink of insanity all faith becomes extinct
Hunted and slain we pray for the end

Fear was born on a moonless night from the trenches of the sea
Gone were the heroes we once felt reigned
Swept far away like a leaf in the wind
By a foe so great we are powerless to fight

One by one the folk did cower in the shadow of its might
The legend born from stranger aeons rose above the towering heights

Hearts sank deep within their bellies face to face with utter doom
All belief in beauty crumbled this vast expanse became a tomb

Starving and withered we climb
To an end we dare not know
Nor do we wish to

Insane and depraved by the harsh see of destiny
And we all pray for the end for its all that remains
Suffer far beyond into the unknown wilderness
And we all pray for the day that the end will set us free

Sleepless nights consumed the conscience breaking down their ever pride
Shadows gathered in the moonlight questioning this worthless life

Then far away came a roar that deafened, shattering
Freezing and cold came biting, ripping

A vanquished people, torn in spirit fled
Over hopeless landscape, unforgiving, legend said
Cursed by their pride and reckless action they repent
To their doom and hopelessness, forever marching....
