This is the fourth track off of "Echtra."
The new Oakhelm album.
Lyrics:
Soaring high o'er sky, spying every adversary with poison eyes
If fear was a winter night frozen moores would they reside

Sullen as the clouds that gather, coursing through the channels
Born form age old hearts and wisdom, mistress of lust and battles

Stabbing like a sword came the cry, to frighten or incite
Was fear a curse or a weapon to ignite?

Hearing her call, arising from slumber, a quickening enlightening
Infatuating deep dark passion, a sole desire enmaddening

Draw to an ancestral calling, a will to embrace this cry
A primal urge broke thru a threshold, this ancient witch she came inside

Then came an understanding, heeding a whisper from lips unseen
And inner sanctum otherworldly became apparent betwixt and between

I entered into her kingdom unsure if I could ever return
A burning need to know the answers
Consumed by the power, the will to learn

And so we invoke the power to fight or to flee
A gift, a curse, and interpretation
To see or not to see

Then there appeared an oaken door
Enshrouded and engraved with ancient lore
A young dark beauty came and pointed beyond
Lifting the weathered latch I ventured on.......
......into her recesses

Through valleys and fjords I wandered on
Then like a banshee's shriek there came a song
Echoing endless

All at once the song translated, shining from the deepest mind
(It sang) "We have a choice in all things
The key to all doors lays inside"

She offered a guiding hand, her beauty burnt my soul alive
Leading me to a reflective pool, an infinite wisdom within it
Darkly shined.....

Shapeshifting into a raven, my guide soared into the northern sky
From the west a sweet songbird sang, and from the east came a soothing sigh

In the court of these three sisters, my life was given a purpose to tend
These three transformed me forever
Thru birth, thru life, thru an open end
