THE NO CLUE CREW (brief history).

Where do I begin? Well. it all started in 2003. Mike Mcue (aka Havok) came to the small town of Lisbon, Ohio with his ideas of becoming a white boy rapper. It was then he met up with Steve Grunden (aka Girdy), Eric Shetler (aka Insane Eric), and J Swimm (aka P.J. Bozac). From there the 4 WBR's (white boy rappers) set off on an epic journey through what is known as the Underground Music Scene. Releasing there first EP entitled, "Yule Tide Chaos: Droppin' Logz!" featuring their homie Pyro B. in December 2004, was an incredible step towards something extraordinary, for it would mark the dawn of a new day for the young aspiring writers we now know as the No Clue Crew.

After parting ways with Pyro B., the No Clue Crew then released their first Full-length Album entitled, "First Gear" on October 1st 2005. 17 tracks of raw attic flavor, all piled up into one hell-of-a first LP! During the recording of First Gear, the No Clue boys decided to start turning there yearly mini-gatherings into something that would turn out to be much, much bigger.

Sauce Storm was born, May 21st 2005. The first of many to come, and has been labeled as “the largest mini-gathering in the tri state area!” Hundreds of people come from the surrounding areas to enjoy the festivities such as: DCW Backyard Wrestling, Scavanger Hunts, Raffles, Live Performances from several local underground acts, and much, much more!

The No Clue Crew proceeded to do shows and work on their next project, “The Ninja Warlords vs. The Blaowlin Monks.” What was originally supposed to be 2 separate EP’s turned out to be a 21 track monster of a split album, Insane Eric and Havok were the Ninja Warlords and Girdy and P.J. Bozac were the Blaowlin Monks. The album exceeded the expectations of the fans and even included 2 Limited Edition Trading Cards of either the Ninjas or the Monks. The long awaited double EP was released on July 28th 2007 at Sauce Storm 3 (SS3).

After SS3, Havok decided to part ways with the other 3 members to start his own production company known as Swirley Eyed Productions. It was agreed that Insane, Girdy, and J would keep the name and continue on with the 3 of them. The No Clue Crew, now consisting of Girdy, Insane E and P.J. Bozac, continued pushing their music carreers full force and released the 3rd full-length album, "Unbreakable," which was released at Sauce Storm 4 in 2008.

Things were moving full steam ahead for The No Clue Crew at this point. Not only were they doing their own thing as a rap group, but Insane Eric decided to join forces with the one and only, King Nasty (long time homie and fellow entertainer), to create the 2nd group under the forthcoming record label, No Clue Records, called The Gemini Projekt.

After Sauce Storm 5 in 2009, The No Clue Crew decided to branch out and pursue building they're record label into an actual business. At this time they had picked up a young aspiring lyricist who calls himself Suitcase and another artist known as Tru Travisty. However, due to unfortunate events, No Clue Records had to release Tru Travisty from the label.

Today No Clue Records consists of 4 main performing groups/artists, which includes, The No Clue Crew (Girdy, J and Eric), The Gemini Projekt (King Nasty and Eric), King Nasty (solo artist), and Suitcase (solo artist). Stronger than ever, the label moves even closer to becoming a lagitimate business in which Girdy, J and Eric will be the official owners of.

Currently the label is working on several albums to look forward to in the near future which include, L.O.A.F. (Legion of Associated Fux - No Clue Records Collaboration Album), The Gemini Projekt debut full-length album, Suitcase - The Decayde (debut solo album), and the amazing re-creation of the first full-length album from the No Clue Crew, First Gear (Remaxed). It has also been speculated that King Nasty is working on his upcoming solo album entitled, "Monsta."

As for future in devoirs…You can count on the fact that the No Clue Crew will remain strong and continue doing what they do best, PUTTIN’ IT RIGHT THE FUCK DOWN!
