"Free up your mind and set yourself free," Says the underground rapper from Canada, David Hodges. This is true to rappers from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Legally Insane.
The original three members of Legally Insane got together in 2003. They wrote raps about their lives and put beat samples to it. This ended up being a CD called, "Self Inflicted Pain" in 2004. After it was made, a member was gone, just having "Gimpy" and "Ghetto-G".
In 2005, Colin "Big C" Kinavey joined the group. With their Diverse style lyrics and hard-hitting beats, they took it seriously. Even forming a following called The L. I. Crew of their biggest supporters.
Their early work goes from their first song together called, "Monstas" which became their anthem to light songs called, "Lay Me Down."
Gimpy has his own solo CD which features his well known song called, "Flatline."
On March 18, 2006, Legally Insane performed at their first show in Ohio. After the miraculous performance, they opened for many more underground artists including Insane Clown Posse, Potluck, Tech N9ne, and Twiztid.,Bizarre of d12,Kingspade, & more.
A few years ago, Ghetto-G was let go of the group, which just left Gimpy and Big c. But a lose was a gain afterwards they got more shows and recognition.
With their extensive crew and brilliant music, they keep setting their minds free of talent and achievement.
They keep proving show by show that we will see them go further and conquer the Billboards.
