One evening the idea for this short film came to me. I never produced or directed a music video or short before and it scared me, but something inside told me to go for it.

Along with the prompt to create the film came the concept. The premise of the film is very real and personal to me as I have dealt with fear over the years and I now feel that I am in a place in my life to where I won’t allow it to have control over me.

I think that art needs no explanation. However, I feel that in this day in age people tend to take things out of context, which may cause them to miss the message I am trying to convey with this short.

Fear is a very violent force. Personally, it has caused me to miss out on things that I really wanted for myself. On the other side, when I faced my fears head on it opened up my world and given me opportunities that I would have never imagined for myself.

Fear does not always come in the form of sweaty palms, a heavy heartbeat, and anxiousness. Sometimes it is subtle, creeping up on you from behind and before you know it, it is choking the life out of your dreams. That is what this short is about, recognizing fear, facing it head on, and conquering it.

It is important to understand that this is not a one time deal. We are faced with challenges everyday and it is up to us to take them head on. I hope that the film inspires you, as this is my ultimate goal. We only get once chance at this thing called life, make it count.
