''I'm Glad'' was released as the third single off J.Lo's third studio album, ''This Is Me...Then'', back in early 2003. The song was written by Lopez herself, along with Troy Oliver, Cory Rooney, Mr. Deyo and Jesse Weaver Jr.; produced by Oliver and Rooney.

The song had a pretty moderate success; on places like Austria, Germany and Sweden it was a top 50 hit, in other territories, it was a top 30 hit. This song is her lowest-charting single on the U.S. since ''Feelin' So Good''. On the Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart, the song found success, peaking at #4.

The music video for the song was directed by David LaChapelle and edited by Dustin Robertson (AVIDDIVA) and it was based on the 80's hit movie, ''Flashdance''. When released, it caused some legal stir; Paramount Pictures tried to sue Lopez and Sony Music for copyright infringement, but the issue was solved outside the court; Maureen Marder (the inspiration of ''Flashdance'') also sued her and her record label.

As usual, remixes were made for the song's promotion: the mixes were made Murk, Paul Oakenfold and Ford.
