North Carolina’s extreme thrashers Suppressive Fire strike back with furious, war-laden follow-up

Raleigh, N.C. death-thrash outfit Suppressive Fire unleash their second album “Nature of War” on January 13th, 2017 via CD Lost Apparitions Records. This album is the follow up to their well-received debut “Bedlam” and sees the band adapt from a 3-piece to 4-piece adding more depth and dynamics.

Recorded by Greg Klaiber and mixed and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust), "Nature of War" channels the aggression and riff assault of Teutonic thrash with the early 90’s death metal blasts and vocals, pulling off a modern and old school sound without the party or thrash throwback feel. Such aggressive fury brings to mind old school greats such as Sodom, Kreator, Sepultura, Death, and other no bullshit bands.

The cover art features a ravenous scene depicting true events of starved wolves feasting on soldiers in WW1, brought to life by Matt Slime (Coffin Dust, ex-Exhumed).

“Joel Grind's always got his mitts in some killer project, and this North Carolina death-thrash trio is no exception.”
-Decibel Magazine

“In an era when thrash legends are still capable of writing and releasing high quality records (Kreator, Testament etc), it is great to see a new young band snapping at their heels. Suppressive Fire have the chops to be the next big thing in thrash.”
