Greek producer Orestis Papavasiliou aka Orelse is breaking the boundaries between progressive and tech house. Although he is just 24 years old he has managed to appear in the charts every month, armed with the knowledge of sound engineering and music technology he began his journey into music production. His first release on Musictracx Recordings reached 5th position on the DJDownload top 100 for 2 weeks and that was just the beginning. Following that his tracks we're being played by top DJs such as Paul van Dyk and he went on to appear on Bonzai, Coraza, Green Martian, Bellarine and many others. June of 2010 saw his first appearance on Deepsessions with an excellent remix of Darkon's 'The Vision', he has since gone on to record the 4 track 'Irresistible' EP and remix Ashraf Mansour's 'Warrior Madness' for Deepsessions. He has since gone on to appear on Deepsessions, Underground City Music, Movement Recordings and OLD SQL. Orelse's newest studio offering entitled 'Heart Of Glass' finds him back on Ivan Nikusev's OLD SQL for the labels 42nd overall release which comes with remixes from: Stefan DJordjevic, Simon Firth, John D and Feri.

The 'Heart Of Glass' original leads the EP with some nice clattering drums and symphonic sounding synths. A catchy sequence of bleeps leads to the introduction of some airy atmospheres and a wavering hypnotic tone. A stripped down section is next with some marvellously spacey effects which is a wicked transition as the piece then comes back to the bleepy dance floor groove once again. Additional bells and piercing electronics soon surround the framework for a great melodic and somewhat trippy climax. Certainly one of Orelse`s best productions to date! The first remix is supplied by man of the moment Stefan DJordjevic. The Serbian producer has really caught the attention of everyone this year with killer productions on Baires, Mistique and Deepsessions. This is Stefan`s second appearance on OLD SQL with the first coming just last month with his remix of Tolga Diler's 'Platonic'. Stefan shows no signs of losing momentum as his 'Heart Of Glass' remix is bang on the money. Backed by a warm rolling bass line that comes with immense momentum the composition has the contemporary, flowing feel right away. A wealth of subtle atmospherics and cool electronics accent the piece throughout for what results in another prog house bomb from Stefan! UK producer Simon Firth is up next and this is his second appearance on OLD SQL following his 3 track 'On The Edge' EP from January of this year. Simon's 'Heart Of Glass' interpretation comes with a rumbling bottom end that has great dance floor bounce. Big metallic drums and subtle hypnotic lines build the piece up to the breakdown where some deep surges of sub bass and killer effects are spotlighted. The widescreen sounds develop some nice tension before the beats come crashing down for a big second half finish! Greek producer John D makes his OLD SQL debut and provides the next remix here. A big kick and muffled electronics set the stage early on before some twinkly synth elements and a big clap get dropped in. The airy melodies are what's really captivating here and give off a celestial or heavenly type vibe that just makes the mix. Closing the package out is the Turkish producer Feri who is making his debut on OLD SQL here as well. Feri caps the package off perfectly with a groovy, mid-set take on 'Heart Of Glass' that comes with a nice spacious bass line, cool melodic accents and a wicked deep vibe.
