RELEASE INFO:
"Greek producer Orestis Papavasiliou aka Orelse is breaking the boundaries between progressive and tech house. Although he is just 24 years old he has managed to appear in the charts every month, armed with the knowledge of sound engineering and music technology he began his journey into music production. His first release on Musictracx Recordings reached 5th position on the DJDownload top 100 for 2 weeks and that was just the beginning. Following that his tracks we're being played by top DJs such as Paul van Dyk and he went on to appear on Bonzai, Coraza, Green Martian, Bellarine and many others. June of 2010 saw his first appearance on Deepsessions with an excellent remix of Darkon's 'The Vision', he has since gone on to record the 4 track 'Irresistible' EP and remix Ashraf Mansour's 'Warrior Madness' for Deepsessions. He has since gone on to appear on Deepsessions, Underground City Music, Movement Recordings and other top imprints. The 9th release on Ivan Nikusev's OLD SQL Recordings finds the Greek producer returning to the label for this second overall appearance and first EP entitled 'Close To Me'.

The EP begins with the shuffling clubby groove of 'Purple Orange Me'. The melodic lead softens the track up nicely giving it a dreamy, spaced out quality that is unique and captivating. Following that we have 'Luck Number Silver' which is based around a very cool old school sounding progressive groove. The big prominent stabs are what really stand out here, piercing and full of energy and dance floor punch. The wobbly acidic groove of 'Close To Me' is next and as the track grows the metallic electronics build a wicked flow before some large chords descend over the mix for an epic melodic moment. One of the standout tracks on the EP for sure and a brilliant record that could work amazingly well at peak time or during the sunrise moments as well. The tempo picks up considerably with 'Trance Heart' which has a gnarly synth line and big kick to start things off. A gorgeous set of cascading melodic arps soon enter the mix along with big charging drum elements all which amounts to a monstrous trance record that's tailor made for the peak time hours. The EP closes with 'Adding Sugar' and the tempo comes back down slightly here with a more progressive groove. The emotional chords are what really standout here, remarkably light, airy and with a heavenly vibe that you just dream about. The breakdown furthers that by introducing a glassy set of well textured hooky synths that push the emotional senses even higher. An amazing way to close out a top notch five track EP from Orelse and OLD SQL Recordings."
