DESCRIPTION:
The Sydney, Cape Breton, Rotary Club sponsored local musical productions from 1955 until 1984.
In 1965 “The Music Man” was presented at the Vogue Theatre. For some of these amateur productions professionals were brought in to fill one or two of the lead roles. This year Bill Walker, a nationally known television personality (he was the tv spokesman for both Ford and Timex), filled the crucial role of Harold Hill. He was to return in 1968 to both direct and take the lead in "My Fair Lady".
