Biography



Nincina's father came up with her very unique name, coming from her Assyrian roots as the mother of Gilgamesh. Nincina is the first teen American/Assyrian singer who is recording songs in English and Assyrian, and that is what separates her from everyone else.
"I want people in the world to recognize us Assyrians, and music always brings people together, so I know that it is up to me to show everyone who we are and where we come from."
Nincina got her talent from her mother who is an international singing star, and her ability to write from her father, who has written songs and poems for other Assyrian singers and poets. She has been around the entertainment business her whole life; from acting, to dancing, to writing, and singing. Those are just a few of the talents Nincina upholds. Growing up in Modesto, California, it was hard for her to put her music out where people would notice it. She entered all of her high school's talent shows in hopes that people would begin to recognize her talent, and that's exactly what they did. She took first place in all of them. From the moment Nincina sang her first song at the age of 3, her parents knew that the girl had talent. Her aunt has even stated that,
"Nincina always had so much ambition. Ever since she was a little girl I would see a sparkle in her eyes. I always remembered her eyes when I thought of her. I had never seen somebody want something so bad, especially at such a young age. That sparkle has not faded one bit."
The young star has been performing in front of hundreds and thousands of people every year. She recently got the title of "Best Teen Star" at the 209 Music Awards in 2009. As a signed artist to Drew Right Music Inc, she plans to show people just how much of a real superstar she can be and how serious she will be taken.
" I think what makes me different is that I sing pop music and have that jazz tone in my voice, so it's something real…something good to listen to. I just hope that when my album drops, people will take me as a serious artist, and I want people to know that Assyrians can accomplish anything."
Only God knows what Nincina has in store for her, and her faith in Christianity is what she believes will guide her along her path.
"I have to do this, not just for me, but for everyone who looks up to me, and everyone who believes in me. I think it is my destiny."
