"Momma Cook Me Somethin Special !", by MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies, recorded LIVE in CONCERT for Mardi Gras at the Rosebud Theater, Effingham, IL, February 20, 2009, This beautiful, new, state-of-art theater is enriching the community by hosting wonderful entertainment never before experienced in the Region! MOJO & The Bayou Gypsies were honored to perform there.

"Momma Cook Me Somethin Special !" is Mister MOJO's heartfelt song about his Momma. On a hot July afternoon in Carencro, LA, after visiting with his friend, Buckwheat Dural (Buckwheat Zydeco), and sharing a discussion about their mommas, Mister MOJO wrote this song. It's a MOJO Classic.

This was a historic reunion concert featuring four of the original six Bayou Gypsies playing together for the first time since 1999 (Mister MOJO on accordion, Zydeco T Carrier on Rubboard, Eddie K on Bass, Kevin the Drummer on Percussion) plus drummer for the last 12 years, Tee John Moser, and brand new fiddler, Phil "The Thrill" Roach.

Audio is from the board, so you can hear the folks in the $100 onstage VIP seats and the rest of the audience through the onstage microphones... but they were GREAT!

Enjoy!
