If you think other people's opinions/reviews matter here are some:>>>

Nice smooth upbeat pop that is often reminiscent of electronic-based pop bands from the 1980s. Sweetness, Yes! is a pure feelgood album. The rhythms are danceable and upbeat.the instrumentation simple and appropriate.and the vocals are subdued and hit the target. The best comparison we can come up with here.is that Moira Stewart sounds something like a cross between Depeche Mode and Joy Electric. Instantly likable simple pop played with passion and integrity. Happy music. (Rating: 5)

Babysue

My first encounter with Moira Stewart, for their debut album, is a straight shot of joy. It has great hooks, rock-dance inspired songs, funny samples, multi-vocals. In all great pop tunes, and this time I mean pop tunes. I am no record industry mogul, nor will I ever see big cash rolling in but if Moira Stewart won't be big with their uptempo, quirky electro-rock pop tunes who will? For the ten tracks, thirty-four minutes (how more classic pop-length do you want it), this has put one big smile on my face.
Vital Weekly

Moira Stewart concoct delightfully corrupting buzz sawing electro candy pop that's perkily primed with a ridiculously infectious effervescent euphoria.
Moira Stewart rally to the clarion call of a nation of lovelorn bedsits, indelibly twee in statue these effervescent lo-fi treats tingle with nuzzling fuzzy glee.

Incurably cute and frisky, once the lids lifted off 'Sweetness, Yes!' its like a summer holiday schools out parade. Bonkers but superb with it.

Losing Today

Here's an album to put a smile on your face. Sweetness, Yes! the new release from Wallsend electro-poppers Moira Stewart is a joyful mix of 80's synths, indie guitars and quirky sampling.
Simple, infectious, happy tunes come thick and fast - all linked together with weird and often very funny sampling and chat.

Debut album from the Newcastle-based band and it's a joyous carousel of fun and glad tidings. Skipping around the electro/pop minefield with giddy abandon, the album sounds something like The Lightening Seeds' Ian Broudie and Erasure's Vince Clark penning songs for Hot Chip whilst filtering it through the spirit of Technique era New Order. Yes, that great.
The Crack

This hugely impressive debut could teach Hot Chip a lesson in the art of concise, punchy songwriting - with every track offering layers of gorgeous harmonies. Sweetness, Yes! is somewhat of a belter.
Narc Magazine

Filled with energy, life and joy, Moira Stewart could well be the answer to every hyper-sexed female's dreams.
With more pink, fluffy, cutesy references than you can shake a stick at, from the cuddly animals on the album cover, to tracks such as 'The Mr Men Groove' and 'Sprinkle Glitter On My Heart', it is almost as if an eight year old girl was allowed to create a band, and Moira Stewart are the result.
However, this whole shtick only add to the group's simple charms as their debut album forces a smile on your face with its upbeat and uplifting songs. Keyboard melodies, sounding like they've come straight out of an 80s computer game are backed by wholesome guitars and bubbly vocals, the sonic equivalent of The Postal Service colliding with New Order and a lorry load of Prozac to boot.
Even the more serious offerings such as 'In The Kitchen' and 'Love Drops' still seem effortlessly playful as they sit aside hyperactive, body shaking pop songs, bursting with rays of sunshine and joy. Prepare to hear this album everywhere, very soon.
Is This Music?

Possibly the best thing to come out of Newcastle since Maximo Park. Moira Stewart's debut is a joyous mix of lush melodies and infectious electro pop. Think Hot Chip but with added humour and warmth. Like Maximo Park's first LP, 'Sweetness, Yes!' is crammed with top quality songs and doesn't disappoint from opener 'The Mr. Men Groove' to the magnificent 'Give A Little Love'. These boys deserve to be massive. We don't give 5/5 lightly, so buy it.
Lifestyle Magazine

There's nothing that gets me jumping up and down like the sounds of sweet, sunny melodies. Moira Stewart steps in to deliver that saving grace. On their debut LP, "Sweetness, Yes!" they dig through the time-warp to deliver some finely crafted, solid pop songs. Call it retro. Call it kitsch. Call it whatever you want, but don't call this music yesterday's picnic. These guys infuse the room with vibrant energy. Their songs are simple in their extremes. Melodies are infectious. Best of all, the group do this with an equal amount of seriousness as much as holding their tongues planted firmly in cheek. Vivacious pop rarely sounded this nadve and pure. Sweet salvation indeed!
Gaz-Eta

The curiously named Moira Stewart get immediate novelty points and they actually come up with a sweeping, atmospheric blend of electro dance in the spirit of Kraftwerk at the 60's pop disco with Soft Cell after they've copped off with The Pet Shop Boys – another smart diversion. MMM ½ .
