OH, MY TREASURED THINGS
Our new album 'Oh, My Treasured Things' is available now on CD and Download!.
'It sounds lush' says Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens who has voted it album of the week on his show!
"Doffing their bowl cuts to the likes of Pavement or The Pastels, the likes of 'Sea I Am' and 'Scratch' make Pale Man Made's debut a thing to treasure" NME
"The album sounds lush" Huw Stephens
"This is a pretty big album from a band that one would imagine to be pretty little. 'Sea I Am' is a solid enough song to sink ships, were it to be fired from a cannon" Playlouder.com
"This is grown-up music, but delivered with a youthful effervescence" Soundsxp
"It's a beguiling mixture of fragile and tough, like picking up a delicate filigree of ice only to find out that it's strong enough to support the whole world and the weight of all it's troubles" Is This Music?
'Oh My, Treasured Things' features 12 tracks, featuring tales of giant squids, wild boars, broken hearts, small animals and snooker players. The release has been a labour of love but well worth the wait. To buy your copy direct from us for a bargainous £5 + P&P, click below!

SEA I AM
We released a 7" Split Single with Cries and Wild Eyes in March 07 on fake dream records. The song on this single is 'Sea I am', the glorious tale of giant squids, and has been played by 6 music Marc Riley and Radio 1, Huw Stephens. It's on lovely bright blue vinyl and you can buy it directly from us for £2.50.This is the video for the song.

Before the release we sent a really small run of promo album cds. This promo got played on BBC Radio One by Huw Stephens, BBC Radio Newcastle by James Clark, and Radio Utopia in Sunderland (along with a live broadcast).
Reviews of this promo have said :
"Leon White and Christianne Ormston's vocals suit each other down to the ground – White's croon often suggests Jarvis Cocker at his seedy-yet-irresistible best with Ormston's sweet tones provide the necessary contrast. Their songs are poppy enough to prance through your head long after your last listen but laced with an atonal edge that fits snugly with the nagging hints of darkness throughout" Rockfeedback.com
"This is Pale Man Made at their finest. Leon White and Christianne Ormston (both guitarists) trade off vocals to a solid beat blending Sonic Youth's Schizophrenia and PIL's signature song Public Image. I hope that this band finds the attention they deserve. Their releases have been consistently good, and the band does not show any of the wear that new bands can get waiting for the public to catch up with their sound." Carl Thien, Gullbuy/Boston College Radio (USA)
Some of the reviews of our previous recordings and live shows have said:
"Naive but confident, stumbling but accomplished. Like a well groomed Sebadoh enjoying a night out following a successful sex-change." Get Rhythm
"Unique, interesting and nonchalantly cool, Pale Man Made are a force to be reckoned with." BBC Tees
"A delight to experience." Punk Planet Magazine
"All hail the indefinable band, the band that gets better with every hearing, the band we should be hearing a lot more from." Logo Magazine
"Its shouty, jerky, and slightly angular, its got harmonies and choruses, in fact Show of Hands has all anyone would want from their pop heroes. And theres more, 2 more tracks in fact, with samples and some darker Joy Division/Gang of Four guitar lines. What more could you want?" Is this Music? Magazine
"Winning Streak is fucking amazing! The atonal vocal line rasps like Hirameka Hi-Fi as the bass twists itself in loops, before the guitar breakdown crashes down, sounding like Electrane only wished they could." Do Something Pretty fanzine
