My Big Black Pudding - Blackburn Pudding (Ukulele original) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 15, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
A comedy song about the greatest of the sausages. The black pudding is enjoyed by all cultures from Asia, to Europe and to South America. In fact, the only people missing out are the Americans, who don't even allow proper haggis to be made there. This needs to change. However, there is no better blood sausage in the world than a Bury black pudding, particularly when added to sausages and eggs in a baton with tomato ketchup. Yum.

Lancashire, home to the greatest foods in the world without a doubt.

Lyrics:

Some guys find it hard to please the women,
But I've got something that keeps them grinning.
It comes from a Lancashire town called Bury,
I sometimes like to show it off to all and sundry.

It comes in different sizes but it always performs,
It makes a cracking breakfast when you wake up at dawn.
It comes out of its skin when it starts to get warm,
It's me big black pudding.

Chorus:

With my big black pudding I do all sorts of tricks,
It's impressive what you get from a sausage so thick.
Every time I cook it up it makes the girls tick,
It's me big black pudding.

There's nothing in the world that tastes quite like it,
I keep the flavour fresh with some herbs and spices.
My big black pudding is so large and swollen,
Sometimes you find it squeezed into a colon.

Other guys have them too but often they flop,
With my big black pudding I am always on top.
It's the greatest of them all in the sausage shop,
It's me big black pudding.

Chorus

I was walking in Blackpool along the sea front,
I bumped into Bill Oddie and he said "'Ecky thump,
How about a fight with our big black puddings?"
I said "Hold on there Bill, this isn't the Goodies."

I met a man in Amsterdam he said he'd been tricked,
He was waving his black pudding in the Red Light District.
He said the girls all loved his big savoury stick,
But his pudding's been transformed into spotted dick!
