Max De Aloe is considered one of the most active jazz harmonicists of the European scene.
He numbers among his works twelve albums as a leader and more than thirty as a sideman, as well as solo shows, composition of soundtracks for theatre shows and documentary films, cooperations with poets, writers and directors.
He has worked with, among countless others, Adam Nussbaum, Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Helliwell (Supertramp), Mike Melillo, Bill Carrothers, Paul Wertico, Eliot Zigmund, Don Friedman, Garrison Fewell, Dudu Manhenga, Franco Cerri, Gianni Coscia, Dado Moroni, etc.
He splits his activities between playing and teaching. He founded in 1995 and now runs his own music school (Centro Espressione Musicale) in Gallarate (Milan), where he teaches modern piano, accordion and above all chromatic harmonica.
He was also a teacher at the Accademia delle arti e dei mestieri of the prestigious Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
