DESCRIPTION:
Blakey's Beat is a repertory band consisting of students of the Jazzschool Institute (Berkeley, CA), celebrating the music of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. Howard Wiley (Drums) and Chuck MacKinnon (Trumpet) are special guests for the evening helping propel the band to greater musical heights. From Oakland, CA, the group performs around the San Francisco Bay Area.
