I had two weeks to determine if I liked the Wedge mouthpiece better than the Monette B3. The Ridenour CB is a Wedge version of a Bach 1-1/2C with a new DOC (double oval cup) design.

My impression was that the Monette sounded thicker but the Wedge had better range and flexibility (can't believe the double C at the end of the video, which i couldn't quite replicate on the B3.)

I ended up returning the Wedge and am back to playing the Monette B3 because I enjoy the sound but it was fun to try the Wedge and maybe I'll try another one someday when I have more time to find the right fit

On this video of me playing Canteloupe Island, I start out on the silver Wege 1.5C Ridenhour Signature and compare to the gold Monette B3.
