I Love Bowling Green (Kentucky) by The Lost River Cavemen 2012 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 08, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
We wrote this song on the beach in California during our tour in April of 2012 and recorded it on location, literally minutes after we wrote it. We originally wrote the song to be entered into a Bowling Green song contest. Here are the lyrics:

Ain't nothin' in the world like bein' home
when home is good to you.

In those hills of Kentucky, everyone is lucky.
Even liars tell the truth.

It's north of the south and south of the north.
And it feels just like a dream.

If you don't know, you better get told
about life in Bowling Green.

It's the home of the National Corvette Museum;
it's where they make 'em too.

Well, it keeps gettin' bigger; everybody wants to live here.
Some come by car; some come on Barren River.
Any way you get here, it's a good life in Bowling Green.

[CHORUS]

I love Bowling Green.
I love Bowling Green.
Of all the places that I've seen,
none compare to Bowling Green.

What a joy to live your life in Bowling Green.

[END CHORUS]

Fountain Square, Duncan Hines, good livin' all the time.
SKyPAC, Starry Nights, you can get yer name in lights,

Down at the Capitol Arts in Bowling Green.

Fruit of the Loom underwear, Joe Marshall and his bear,
down at Circus Square, home of the SoKy Fair.
We got the Lost River Cave in Bowling Green.

Hot Rods baseball, shoppin' at the Greenwood Mall.
Hilltoppers got it son, Big Red's number one.

Hoppin' rockin' music scene, best food you'll ever eat.
If you wanna get down, come down to my town.

Livin' here is such a treat.
I love Bowling Green.

[CHORUS]

I love Bowling Green.
I love Bowling Green.
Of all the places that I've seen,
none compare to Bowling Green.

What a joy to live your life in Bowling Green.
