Artfully taking parts of Folk-Rock, Americana, Ragtime, Punk, and Country (among others), The Cavemen spin their music into a truly original aural presentation that is easily accessible to everyone from college kids to grandmas. Their influences include masters of the trade such as Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Glenn Danzig, and the Hank Williams lineage.
Their live show creates an atmosphere filled with good vibes and the kind of buzz that makes you want to drink and dance all night. They put on a high-energy show that is not only a pleasure to listen to but also a great pleasure to watch. Their songs tell stories of real-life experiences and hardships. While many of their songs have a serious tone, The Cavemen definitely aren't afraid of throwing a little bit of tongue-in-cheek humor into their lyrics. With haunting vocals and lyrics supported by a warm acoustic guitar, Michael McMillian holds up the front end with a passion unparalleled by any lead singer. Joshua Riddle (percussion) and Geno Wilson (stand-up bass) intertwine rhythm and catchy beats that are the essential backbone of this musical opus. The icing on the cake is the bone-chilling precision of Steven Stewsrt's fiddle playing that laces itself in and out of every song.
