How did it happen: their meeting in India and the desire to produce music together, mixing elements from Indian music and western, composing music only with two instruments in order to explore every possible interaction between sitar and finger style acoustic guitar style.

The USP: The soundscape created through the music of Imran & Lorenzo has only 2 instruments, the sitar and acoustic guitar. It creates its own internal rhythm and has no percussion element. The music is an eclectic fusion of Spanish, Arabic, Oriental and Indian sounds blending the experience and expression of both the musicians

Imran & Lorenzo’s music uses no computer generated sound, and no other instrument or sound aside from Sitar and the Acoustic Guitar. None whatsoever.

Imran & Lorenzo believe in the importance of live recording with no editing or computer modified music but to keep the music as acoustic and as natural as possible. Their debut album has been recorded in Mumbai and their debut performance was at the Ustad Gulab Khan Acheivement Award ceremony in Jodhpur as the opening act for recipient Violin Virtuoso Dr. L. Subramanian’s concert.
