B1 – Partner Gypsy [3] (8), Partner Swing (8)
B2 – Ladies Chain (8), Circle right (8)

[1] See the glossary for an explanation of pousette. Starts with ladies moving forwards. Takes about 4-6 beats.

[2] The swing entry is similar to the ricochet hey/swing transition. As the half pousette is almost done, gents let go of right hand; ladies let go of left hand. Ladies raise their left arm, and step straight backwards as gents catch their back with their right arm, going directly into the swing. (By this point you drop the other hand with your partner.)

[3] Or balance and swing.

BAND: "The Fabulous Glen Echo Open Band" (http://www.openbandonline.com/)

Any musician can join the Open Band at 8pm on the 2nd Friday of every month in the Spanish Ballroom. The Open Band has some of the Washington DC area's best musicians and makes new musicians feel very welcome. Over 30 musicians typically play, making for a very full sound.

This was a bittersweet night as we wished “Until we meet again” to Damian who is moving from the area.

REMARKS: The Spanish Ballroom is a superb dance venue. Built in 1933 and restored in 2003, the art deco style ballroom has a wonderful 7,700 SF sprung maple floor which can easily handle 6 lines of contradancers.

This was the last dance in the first half. There were 4 lines of dancers before and 3 after the break.
