DESCRIPTION:
Liu Fang's interpretation of this beautiful melody "Red River" (Honghe Yejing 红河夜景, directly translated as "the night scene of Red River" or "The romance of the Red River), folk music of Yi People (music for dance), has been described in some review articles as "poetic" and "delicacy" along with the traditional classical repertoire.

This piece was composed by Zeng Qingrong in the 1980s based on a folk melody of Yi people (Yi folk dance 彝族舞蹈) in Yunnan Province (China) where Liu Fang was from. This video is a concert live recording during a tour in France in 2005.
