Mike Beck was born and raised in Brooklyn East New York. Growing up Mike went through hard times with his mother and father being separated. His father had a drinking problem and was addicted to heroin; this made him give very little attention to both Mike and his brother spending barely any time with them both.

Mike Beck’s mother remarried and had three daughters. Mike’s step father basically raised him and the rest of the family, but due to drug issues he was incarcerated. Shortly after that Mike’s mother ended up with a drug problem, so Mike Beck's grandmother raised him and his siblings.

As a result of the family issues Mike Beck took to the streets at the tender age of 13 running around with his little team stealing cars and causing a ruckus everywhere in the name of respect and money. Sometime after, he was introduced to the hustle game from his mentor and good friend Bill Blass (R.I.P), than started to do his own thing in which his name rang bells through out the whole NY and out of town areas. Mike Beck went to prison at the age of 17 (a high profile case, violent charge) escaping charges of murder and lucking out doing 5 years.

In doing this time he maintained his respect and awakened to a new skill that he found with in himself (spitting). When Mike Beck came home his good Friend Bill Blass was managing Rakim and encouraged him to take the music more serious and go on the road with him and Rakim. And that’s exactly what Mike Beck did, going to the studio and hitting the road with Rakim for the 18th Letter Tour. Once that was over Mike Beck and crew (HRC) continued on working on music with artist like Onyx, Fat Joe (He’s on the all or nothing album 10 “temptations pt2”) he also appeared on Kayslay / GregStreets album, on the song “Street Niggaz” ft. Jae Millz and Smitty. Plus he did hype for Fat Joe at shows during the whole lean back era. Mike was also Tony Sunshine’s hype man while he was on tour with Lumidee for “She’s Like The Wind.” He also appeared on mixtapes by Big Mike, Kay Slay, Suge White, Big Mike, DJ Whiteowl, DJ Biz, Kochece, Hot 97, Power 105, DJ Fade, DJ Orphax, etc. as well as Suge White, Drama Magazine, Smack, Cocaine City, Real Talk, and Sub Zero DVDs. You can catch Beck in such videos as: Fat Joe’s “Lean Back, Chirstian Millian ft. Young Jeezy, Lumidee ft. Tony Sunshine, “She’s Like the Wind,” Kay Slay’s, “Can’t Stop The Reign,” Grafh and Busta Rhymes’s “Like Ohh,” Fat Joe ft. Plies and Dre “Ain’t Saying Nothing,” etc etc. Beck has also worked with known producers such as Scott Storch, Streetrunner, Cool and Dre, Develop, etc.

During Becks time running around with Fat Joe, he met Pistol Pete (K.A.R founder Ceo) and collided forces to form K.A.R ent. He was the first rapper on K.A.R and released his first single off of Koch/K.A.R records ft Fat Joe and Tony Sunshine, “U Can Tell I’m from NY.” This was an introduction to the game on a higher aspect. He then remixed it with NY’s new big east movement Tony Sunshine, Maino, Remy Ma, Jae Millz, Prinz (Black Hand) and Papoose. Ed Lover was starting his five o’clock show off with this song for the first week of it’s release, also DJ Kayslay at night and Miss Jones in the morning. The song was a smash and officially put Beck on the map. Beck has dropped mix tapes and done other collabes with artist such as Busta Rhymes, Ron Artest, Freeway, Sean Kingston, Lazy Bone from Bone thugs n Harmony, Fat Joe, Grafh, Thugacation, Rock from Heltah Skeltah, Cool n Dre, DJ Khaled, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, numerous new tracks with Tony Sunshine, etc etc. He is currently working on his new mixtape with his DJ, Suge White, entitled, “World Connection,” and up and coming album, “Information is Power.” Beck is also working on the K.A.R. compilation album with his fellow label mates, Rob Cash, Onez, and Leader, due out in Janurary on KOCH entitled “Joey Crack & Pistol Pete presents K.A.R.” This compilation has guest appearances from Fat Joe, Sean Kingston, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, Styles P, Cool n Dre, DJ Khaled, Raekwon, etc. The albums first two singles are currently in rotation all over urban radio: “They Hatin Me Man” ft. DJ Khaled & Dre (Cool n Dre), and “What You Gonna Do To Me” ft. Fat Joe.

Mike has also started his one company, Heavy Bank Entertainment. His first artist / producer, and hitmaker is Mizzle Boy aka J Mizzle. Mizzle is most known at the moment for doing the production and the hook on Grafh’s new single “Like Ohh” ft. Busta Rhymes and Prinz. Which was remixed with Jadakiss, Bun B, and Jim Jones. He also did “Crackhouse” for Fat Joe and Lil Wayne, played keys on “Pop Bottles for Lil Wayne and Birdman, did tracks for Jennifer Lopez, Steve Morales, Ciara, Enrique Englacias, Cool N Dre, Brittany Spears, Puffy, Timbaland, etc etc.
