Harlem's own DJ Kay Slay is hip-hop!! As a part of hip hop's

origination, Kay Slay has been a part of the game since 1977 as the original Dj Kaygee and as part of the most prominent movement in hiphop the Almighty Zulu Nations Chapter 11. Starting

out as a DJ/ graffiti artist, featured in the classic hip hop

documentaries "Style Wars"in 1981 and "Wild Style," under his legendary street tag "DEZ" Kay Slay managed to become

a pioneer in HipHop and the music industry.

Kay Slay has become and remained the hardest and truest DJ in hip hop.

Known for the most influential mix-tapes in the market, Kay Slay became

known as the Drama King from his fore front role in hip hops most

popular rap battles; including the Jay-Z and Nas Rap battle that he spearheaded.

He has also released two albums on Violator/Columbia Records; The Street

Sweeper Vol. 1 and The Streetsweeper Vol. 2: The Pain from the Game and His 3rd release independently with the souths most popular

Dj Gregstreet on koch records titled The Champions"The North meets the South"

All 3 with hit singles. He is currently working with Money Mark and

Shaquille O'Neal on their Record label Deja 34 as Head of A&R. Still releasing promotional mix CD's every month to keep his presence Alive

Kay Slay owns the streets ear. He proved that when he won twelve Mix

Tape Awards, and was forced to retire from the best DJ of the year Category in 2004 from the

Late "Justo's mixtape awards.

With unlimited capabilities, his likeness appeared in the EA Sport's NFL

Street Game. His character in the game, along with his team was the

most talked about aspect of the popular foot ball video game. The

album's hit single "Who Gives a What Where You From" appeared on the

game's soundtrack, as well as all over ESPN football highlights. With

the success of the single EA Sports shot the music video for the track

which featured his animated character from the game.

Kay Slay feeds the streets and the streets make Kay Slay. His love for

his hood has caused Kay Slay to start a Basketball tournament in the

Harlem community, giving both males and females ages 7 and up an

opportunity to get involved in the community and have some fun. Coming

up on its 10th year, Kay Slay's tournament, "We Will Ball for the Kids,"

is known for its concept where everybody is a winner. Every body wins a

trophy . win or lose. He also has give aways, and celebrity

appearances.Dj kayslay is also now working with t-mobile wireless and has a selection of ringtones

On T-mobile sidekicks,and is a part of the burgerking campaign in which he has cut dozens of

Commercials for BurgerKing.

The Drama King has appeared on BET Rap City over a dozen times, as well

as MTV and has hosted a show on MTV titled "Hip Hop Drama," and more

recently "Big Baller Videos" with Shaquille O' Neal. He has also taken

his knowledge of hip hop to start working with papoose who just signed to jive records through his infamous Record label

Street Sweepers Ent.for a long to be seen 1.5 Million dollar deal after turning down numerous deals from a dozen record labels over the past 2 and a half years. Papoose has also

been acclaimed the best new rapper on a mix tape at the Justo's 2005

Mix tape Awards Before justo passed and has won numerous awards @ other award shows for his incredible grind in the rap game.

Kay Slay is hip hop. The core of what it's about, from the battles to

the glamour. When it comes to DJing, he owns the streets and from 12am

to 2am every Thursday night he owns the airwaves. 2.9 million listeners

lock in weekly to WQHT - NY, Hot 97 to hear the drama king bring the

exclusive freestyles and interviews to the radio.

Night from 8pm to 12am.
