My recap of my Cody Simpson VIP Concert Experience: September 4th I won VIP which included front row worlds of fun tickets and meet and greets. The payed VIP Meet&Greet happened at the Mix 93.3 radio station with more than 150 people packed in the studio before the actual show. It's always a big deal when Cody comes here and it's amazing to see everybody! Kansas City is one of his favorite places to tour. When I get to WOF, I meet up with friends and get ready for check-in. We got early access into the venue instead of waiting with everybody standing outside in the heat. We got inside about 6:30 pm but didn't get to go to our seats until 7:00 pm. My friends and I all got seats in the front row on the right side of the stage. During intermission before the concert, Steve Serrano and the Mix crew got the crowd hyped up and I even got picked to go on stage and do the Cupid Shuffle dance with everyone. Finally, Cody Simpson came on. His opening song was "La Da Dee" and his encore finale song was "iYiYi". I've seen Cody perform 5 times before and that was my 6th time seeing him perform live and 4th time meeting him. I saw him December 3, 2010 at his first Jingle Jam concert he performed at. May 20, 2011 & met him. July 27, 2012 & met him on tour with Big Time Rush. October 26, 2012 I had front row VIP for Justin Bieber Believe Tour. December 8, 2012 & met him front row at Jingle Jam. And September 6, 2013 & met him. It is always amazing seeing Cody perform and it's been just a blessing getting to see him grow not only as an artist but as a genuine amazing person as well. Cody killed it on stage as always, I love him so much! After the show, VIP stayed after and got in a line to meet him. It was a really fast M&G. After our M&G, we hung out in the Tivoli Theater where he performed with some of our new friends we met. His dad, Brad was out there just talking to people so we went over to him, got a picture and talked to him too. After that we all left the theater and rode a couple rides before Cody came out. All of a sudden we saw fangirls at the rip cord. Cody, Gigi and the whole crew went over there to ride it and I recorded him riding it. That was a once in a lifetime experience. It's not everyday you witness one of your idols ride a scary ride at an amusement park and they fly over your head and just get to see them have fun and be a person! Security was rude to us so after Cody rode it, we all went to the Patriot ride and waited for him there. Cody and the crew came within 30 minutes we got there, no one was allowed to ride with him so we waited til he rode it. I was hanging with one of my new friends, Sunny I met while everyone else went to the exit to see Cody. We got to sit in the same seats as Cody! After we rode it, we were so excited and went to meet up with our sisters and friends at another ride. Cody was being escorted in a white van around the park. We waited for him at the Prowler ride and rested there but he didn't show up. Tons of fangirls followed him from ride to ride and I thought that was creepy. The park closed at 11 pm that night and about 10:30 pm, we decided to walk around because everyone would have left. The park was playing "God Bless America" on the speakers and we were singing and dancing along to it. All of a sudden, we turn the corner and Cody and his crew were there walking towards us! We didn't run up to him so we just sang and danced and his crew noticed us and sang and danced with us. Then Cody saw us and he started singing too! So we sang "God Bless America" with Cody Simpson! Then 2 girls were standing there stalking him. We were over away a little bit, playing his music and just goofing off. When Cody left, the girls came over to us and asked why we weren't stalking him... We waited a bit and then decided to walk over to the Prowler ride. Then a few minutes later we heard a bunch of screaming and we saw 20 fangirls coming our way so we knew Cody was around. We walked towards them and Cody was on another path walking out, getting ready to leave. All the fangirls were screaming at him and we yelled "Bye Cody!" and he waved back to us! All the fangirls stayed around and we knew where Cody was headed so we saw him leave. The last time he performed at Worlds of Fun, he went to Waffle House so we decided to meet there thinking he would be there. We waited 10 minutes but he never showed up. That day was so much fun and a very good Cody concert! I didn't want to really go because of all the chaos but I knew if I didn't go, I would regret it. And it was just an amazing day. I want to thank Cody Simpson for everything these past years and he's just the best.
