DESCRIPTION:
Minneapolis music all stars reprise the roles of Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, Bob Dylan, the Staples Singers and many others in this tribute to The Band's farewell concert, immortalized in Martin Scorcese's documentary The Last Waltz, one of the greatest concert films of all time. The annual tribute at the Cabooze in Minneapolis is led by the just-for-this-occasion supergroup Big Pink , which each year enlists a number of other great Twin Cities musicians to recreate the legendary guest appearances made during the original concert back in 1978 at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom.
