Pressure Drop is a club night dedicated to 60's Ska, Rocksteady, Skinhead Reggae with a dash of 60's Soul. The night was started back in 2005 by Paddy Muldowney and held in the upstairs room at Dr Browns pub in Middlesbrough.

Paddy started the night off as there was no venue in Teesside that played purely 60's Ska/early Reggae. After a bit of a break the night returned to Dr Browns due to popular demand on 15th May 2009. The night moved to The Legion in October 2011 and is held once a month at the venue and also on Bank Holiday weekends.

The night has gone from strength to strength and Paddy has a amassed great collection of original 60's Ska & Skinhead Reggae tunes, probably the best collection on Teesside. This has made Paddy a much in demand DJ with appearances in London at Set The Tone 67, Dance Craze in Newcastle, Soul Shakedown and also various Ska & Scooter Club events.

In 2010 Paddy decided to take the Pressure Drop night on tour. The first such event was held at The Studio in Hartlepool then in September 2010 Pressure Drop came to The Sound Bar in Birmingham. The night at The Sound Bar was such a success that the Birmingham Pressure Drop is now a regular event. The Sound Bar has since closed but Pressure Drop has found a new home at The Moseley Arms in Digbeth.

On 26th February 2011 Pressure Drop made it's overseas debut when the night was held at the Sala Rocksound in Barcelona. The night went down a storm and this is also now a regular Pressure Drop event.

Pressure Drop nights also feature guest DJ's such as Sir Lord Tennant (from the Early Reggae band Thorpedians), Dani Alpha Boys, Dave Mack, Tippa, Monty, Ash, Tony Eastlake, Graham Chopper Craddy, Andy Vella, Wally Francis & Andy Nico to name but a few.
