K U Z I N aka "The Faculty Boss".hails from Hempstead, Long Island (NY). This New York lyricist has what it takes to be a major influence on pop culture. Inspired by the likes of Jay-Z, Nas, and Biggie, Jadakiss and Rakim, his quick-witted brash delivery is comparable to some of today’s top mc’s.Born the 2nd of four kids Kuzin had his share of crosses to bear coming up in a single parent household and having to be the man of the house at an early age. With his older brother’s father going AWOL, followed by HIS and the barely there presence of his younger siblings’ father. After witnessing his mothers suicide attempt and near death and havin’ to be the one to save her life, his main and ONLY focus has to been to be a success in the eyes of his mother. He discovered his gift to write rhymes when he was 12yrs old and by 16, this hobby grew into his love and passion for hip-hop. Linking up with other local mc’s in high school, they formed crew named 187 (the police code for Homicide) which then became known as simply H-Cide.The crew boasted quite a large number of talented artist, but along with that talent came ego. Determined not be held back by anything or anyone, Kuzin decided to branch off on his own. He got his first taste of fame recording songs in a friend’s basement. His brother went out promoting the homespun music all over the neighborhood, creating instant notoriety locally. Kuzin forged an alliance with producers Xplicit(childhood friend) and 7th Emp (producer of G-Unit’s "Salute U" from the Beg 4 Mercy album) and pursued his dream of becoming a top MC. Creating a buzz. Kuzin, after to speaking to Russell Simmons, put the album material on hold to drop a hot mixtape entitled "I GOT NEXT!" showcasing his lyrical ability to compete at a level that not many MC’s are able to accomplish. Only then follow up with his "Prince of New York" vol.1 mixtape, which some may say is a bold title. On this mixtape Kuzin displays his more aggressive side to let listeners know that there is 2 sides to every coin and he’s no different. His timing and delivery is very comparable to the top 5 rappers alive today. NOW.with the birth of his son and a relocation across the water to Jersey City, he is more determined than ever to do what he has set out to. Putting his grind and networking abilities to good use, he managed to reach the ears of DJ’s as fare as Germany and Switzerland such as DJ Rec-Tec and DJ Viper of the Groovediggaz to land spots on their mixtapes. Using this momentum, to also put together a 3rd and hands down his best mixtape, displaying maturity, growth and outstanding wordplay. While working hard to put himself in position to do what he is very capable of doing.Kuzin has also put together a team of MC’s and formed The Faculty, which seems to be a Dynasty in the making. The Faculty consists of artist such as Traum, M.Cam, Tito, ABE and Kuzin’s younger brothers Problem Child and Brazy. Already working on the first project, entitled "We Bout Bizness vol.1" This proves to be a movement in progress CONTACT INFO: FACULTYMUSIIC@GMAIL.COM or 516.225.6106 WEB SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!! .
