Kevin Soffera - Drum Tracking - Tony Schott #2.m4v - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 03, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Hey everyone, Kev here....just tracked drums at Thermal Studios in Sicklerville NJ on 5-2-11 for another tune by artist Tony Schott with Stephen McKnight producing and behind the board.
I met with the guys in the evening, we went over the tune acoustically. I charted it out and then we rehearsed it a few times to work out some parts.....we then got levels and I tracked it in a first take.....it felt really good. I ended up giving an alternate last pre-chorus out as well but didn't video that portion.
This is a modern rock shuffle feel in the vein of Seether and/or Shinedown. It was a blast to play on.....I love in the solo section I worked out a 6/8 Nanigo accent pattern on the ride/bell that the guitars went along with. I will post the music synced up to this video when the tune is done and the artist allows me to.......
I am using the studios house drum set with my Sabians, Vaters and a single pedal on this one plus my standard mouth full of gum.....Hope you enjoy watching as much as it was to record this session.....more to come so stay tuned.

As always, if anyone is interested in having me track drums for them at either my studio or another studio, please contact me here or at:
