Cuanto de ustedes saben que el tecladista e innovador del jazz contemporaneo o Smooth Jazz Jeff Lorber tiene un nuevo CD llamado "Hacienda"?

Bueno, el pasado 17 de Agosto, 2013. Fui uno de los pocos afortunado en tener el privilegio de musicalmente disfrutar de una reunión de músicos fenomenales llamada "Jazz, Funk and Soul" organizada por Jeff Lorber, Chuck Loeb y el saxofonista Everette Harp. En donde cada uno intercambia algo de su música, especialmente lo nuevo de cada quien.

Regularmente las estaciones de radio y las compañías publicitarias de los artistas pautan o eligen los temas que representan el titulo de cada CD. Desde luego para darle mas sentido de mercadeo al producto. En este caso del CD de Jeff Lorber como usualmente pasa, no he dejado de reconocer la imensa calidad de cada tema y la nueva producción "Hacienda" no es la excepción. Pero hay un tema en este proyecto que acaparo' toda mi atención y es la melodía que les presento en este video titulada "Solar Wind" de Jeff Lorber.

Desde mi punto de vista personal y mis años escuchando el genero, siento que hay algo detrás de este tema que va mas allá de lo organizada que esta su harmonía musical. Es la manera como la melodía fluye y te lleva al éxtasis. Así mismo como te sube, te baja sin perder el equilibrio trasmitido en todo el contexto de la canción, cuando ellos al escucharse tocar entre si te llevan de la misma manera como la perciben. Esta tema para mi es todo un hit.

Mi humilde opinión no tiene necesariamente que coincidir con la de ustedes, pero si les recomiendo que escuchen el te tema detenidamente y viertan sus opiniones al respecto.

How many of you know that contemporary jazz keyboardist and innovator Jeff Lorber has a new CD out called "Hacienda"?

Well, on August 17, 2013. I was one of the lucky few to have the privilege of musically enjoy a phenomenal musicians meeting called "Jazz, Funk and Soul" hosted by Jeff Lorber, Chuck Loeb and saxophonist Everette Harp. A project where everyone exchanges some of his music, especially the new from each one.

Regularly radio stations and publicity companies choose the song topics that represent the title of each CD. Of course to give more meaning to the product marketing. In this case Jeff Lorber CD as usually happens, I have not failed to recognize the immensity quality of each tune and the new production "Hacienda" is no exception. But there is a song in this project that captured all my attention and is that is the melody that I present to you on this video entitled "Solar Wind" from Jeff Lorber.

From my humble point of view and my years of listening to the genre, I feel that there is something behind this song that takes me beyond its organized musical harmony. It's the way the melody flows and takes you to ecstasy. As it takes you all the way up and down, without allowing you lose your balance. The whole context of the song when they play it listing each other on stage allows you to enjoy it the same way as perceived. This piece is for me an absolute hit.

My humble opinion does not necessarily has to coincide with yours, but I recommend you to watch and listen to carefully and please write your moments and opinions about it. Thank you.
