Happy New Year!

Here's the story behind this video. recorded in November of 2013,this is what would have been the final version of the debut EP for a friend and client. I sent him this as the final version for his approval and he approved! Somethings delayed the process for mixing and in that waiting, the computer at the studio CRASHES!!!! And SOMEHOW I saved the files to the INTERNAL drive ( which is a NO NO!!) so I had to end up RECUTTING THE ENTIRE SONG. on a different kit in a different room with different mics. Needless to say I wasn't happy and very disappointed with myself. I went to recut the final version about 2 months ago just as a reference for him to hear. He ended up LOVING THE NEW VERSION. one thing.. I DIDNT RECORD VIDEO!

So this video is the original version that was supposed to make the ep. I used this as the model to try and replicate this feel. I was going for a Will Kennedy approach to help develop the song. Pay CLOSE ATTENTION to how I build the song using layers by adding various grooves and feels to create a unique sound!

What you are going to hear is NOT MASTERED and are the REFERENCE TRACKS that I recorded to. I was experimenting with a Pearl Reference Kit and was in the middle of eq'ing and processing them so i never finished! BUT THEY STILL SOUND KILLER!!!
