"Some Kind of Wonderful" was written by John Ellison. It was first recorded by the Soul Brothers Six in 1967 and reached number 91 on the Us Billboard Hot 100.
The song was released on the Atlantic Label and is not related to a song of the same name made famous by The Drifters.
Buddy Guy released a version of Ellison's "Some Kind of Wonderful" on his 1993 album "Feels Like Rain".
