DESCRIPTION:
This recording is an interview I did with The Beloved's Jon Marsh back in 1996, broadcast on Australian radio at the time and then archived to tape, which has sat on the shelf for two decades.
Excusing the out-of-phase announcer microphone and the bad music edits that were done at the time (probably chopping tape on reel-to-reel, which is how we had to do it with primitive equipment on pirate radio at the time), this interview is a document of Jon's discography and his personal thoughts on the album 'X' and beyond.
As an obvious fanboy in the 90's and still am (what a great and criminally under-rated band they were) - I was delighted to hear Jon's openness about certain tracks and his critique of producers giving a welcome insight into The Beloved.
