Born in the summer of 2009, Sunfields spent their early years rummaging through their parents old record collection absorbing all the sounds and songs they could. '
Recording for their debut album began in a small cottage some sixty miles north of London England in the fall of 2007 and was completed in the Spring of 2010 in their home studio in Montreal.
The album is laden with soft acoustics, clanky old pianos, trembling organs, and distorted guitars dotted with wistful horns and Beach Boysesque harmonies.
Palace In The Sun was recently released on their brand new label, Field Recordings.
