This song also known as 'The Orange & the Green' is about lost love was the most popular of all Jonathan's new material that he performed on his last concert tour. It is not just a love song but also a social document about the Troubles in Ireland, one love is Catholic, the other Protestant, a love doomed by the social situation they lived under. In spite of extensive efforts the real Eileen as never been found. If anybody knows of a lady called Eileen who worked at a department store in Dublin and was in love with a young Jonathan Ledingham then we would love to hear about it.
