Purple Mountain Majesty - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 28, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
A soldier stationed at a base in Colorado is deployed in a far away land. As she prepares to return home, her daughter, thousands of miles away, sits at the kitchen table, working on a poster for her. She works hard, determined to make her picture of the Purple Mountains very special. Her daughter is inspired by the strength, beauty and majesty of the Colorado mountains, described by Katherine Lee Bates in the lines of her song "America The Beautiful" written in 1893.

In the eyes of the soldier's daughter, her mother is a hero and role model. Sacrifices by the soldier are made, but it is her child, more than anyone else, who understands and appreciates them. Our song is a story of the unfolding of a mother and child reunion, and how the duty and sacrifices of the soldier nurture the bond and admiration between her and her child. We dedicate it to all the parents in uniform, and to all the military family members, who sacrifice so much. so that we can all can be free.

Thank you for listening.
